Pneu-Dart Type U Disposable RDD Device, 8cc with Gel Collar, 14g x 1.0" Needle

Type U tails have been created to support 1/2cc – 5cc darts in conjunction with projectors not manufactured by Pneu-Dart.
Many of the more seasoned customers may be familiar with these as ‘P’ Type Dart with Flight Stabilizer Tails. Rest assured they are one in the same; renamed in part as one of our latest steps in streamlining processes and meeting the needs of our customers.

How They Work

Type ‘U’ darts contain a small explosive charge which detonates on impact and quickly injects the drug. Darts equal to or less than 1 cc do not require retention (wire barb or gelatin collar) due to the rate of injection. As a consequence of the dart mechanics, the dart will “flash” when activated, a real asset in low-light conditions.

The O-Zone™

Proper remote drug delivery must be delivered to the O-Zone™ injection site. Pneu-Dart recommends consistently delivering an appropriate sized practice device to a six-inch target before attempting to deliver any medication remotely.  The species neutral O-Zone™ is on the side of the neck forward of the shoulder.

Aluminum Dart Bodies (2 cc – 10 cc)

RDD devices (3.0cc – 10.0cc) are laser engraved with the volume of the injectable liquids capacity. With this value added feature “at-a-glance” identification will help provide the best treatment possible.  Made out of aluminum tubing, our RDD Devices are designed to ensure optimum performance under any condition.
