Zoetis Bovi-Shield IBR Cattle Vaccine 100mL/50 Dose

For beef cattle producers, BOVI-SHIELD^® IBR provides protection for cattle from respiratory disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus.

Indications

Prevents respiratory disease caused by IBR virus when administered by the subcutaneous route of administration. Aids in the prevention of IBR when administered by the intramuscular route.

Vaccination of healthy cattle is recommended. Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried vaccine with the sterile diluent provided, mix well, and administer 2 mL subcutaneously (SC) or intramuscularly (IM). In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered SC or IM in the neck region.

Primary Vaccination: Administer a single 2-mL dose to healthy cattle. To avoid possible maternal antibody interference with active immunization, calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months should be revaccinated after 6 months of age.

Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

Do not use in pregnant cattle (abortions can result) unless they were vaccinated, according to label directions, with any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP or PREGGUARD GOLD FP vaccine prebreeding initially and within 12 months thereafter. Do not use in calves nursing pregnant cows unless their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months as described above. To help ensure safety in pregnant cattle, heifers must receive at least 2 doses of any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP or PREGGUARD GOLD FP vaccine with the second dose administered at least 30 days prebreeding.
